2026-08-19OK, NOW I GET IT. You know what I love about this cover? It's that it's unpretentious. It's pretty, even softer, and doesn't sound pretentious at all. Because, let's be honest, we all know that when the song went viral, way too many people and artists (not everyone but a huge number) was trying to sing it in the original key to hit the high note, even if their vocal cords were about to break, or even if they had to resort to pitch correction, not as a cool stylistic choice but to hide how strained their voices sounded in an unnatural range🥲. More than a trend of people covering it, it became a trending challenge. Which, of course, is not a crime, not a sin, but I admit it was a little sad to observe how this reinforced, for a lot of people, the common misconception that "hitting a super high note is what really makes a good and impressive singer". That's not true. And this is why this is now on my list of favorite Golden covers. This is what I feel makes a powerful interpretation. Not a specific note, but how the singer hits whatever note they come across and how they move the listener. PLAVE really nailed it the way it should be done: Adapting the song to a key in which they could sing comfortably and shine in their own way. Very professional and healthy choice. In fact, the highest note isn't even higher than anything they've sung before lol. So it sounds natural and so pretty, and still fun and impactful. The voice effects are not there to correct voices but to enhance the electropop style of the song. And they opted for a beautiful, high-pitched harmony instead of just a high note (and we know PLAVE loves a nice harmony). Also the musical arrangement sounds cleaner here, which is refreshing. It's so lovely and pleasing to the ear. Also, ngl, I'm super grateful because hearing Yejun at 1:55 sing the pre-chorus in his lower register and then go higher is an experience that we couldn't have had any other way. It gave me goosebumps.

2026-08-21크 이거지예 다른 좋은 커버곡들 많았지만 고음 강조하는 커버곡들이 대부분이었는데 플레이브가 부른 골든은 듣기 편해서 더 좋다 그냥 다 좋다 너희가 내 비타민 오쏘몰이다 플레이브는 노래로 말한다 노래에 진심이지 뭐든 대충 말아 오는 법이 없음 그래서 내가 플레이브 좋아해 많이 좋아해 사랑해 얘들아!

2026-08-18To drop a powerful cover like this after everything they’ve been through shows just how strong and grounded PLAVE is towards who they are and what they’re trying to do/achieve and how true and sincere they are towards PLLIs and the journey we share with them. Hearing them sing at the top of their lungs the words like “no more hiding, now I’m shining, like I’m born to be” and “our time, no fears, no lies, that’s who we’re born to be” just hits the right spot and carries so much meaning and story. I think I teared up just listening to them not only because that was a damn good cover (visually and musically) and their voices and presence never fail to move my heart, but also because it was practically a declaration to PLLIs telling us that they’re not going to be easily defeated by the threats they face and will continue to protect and fight for each other, for PLLIs, and for the world we built together, as well as a declaration to the rest of the world that they’re going to keep doing what they do best and what they believe is right. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! THANK YOU MY LOVES 🤙💙💜🩷❤️🖤

2026-08-19what I love about their covers is that they have their own original vibe (?) what makes every song sound like if it were their song from the start.
